I speak only for myself, but the only way I would even consider buying something off offerup, letgo (which is now owned by offerup), facebook marketplace, craigslist or any other site is if I could go see the vehicle in person, period. No legitimate transactions begins on a site other than eBay and is then "completed on" or "handled by" eBay. This is a scam 100% of the time, no exceptions, ever.
